Janie’s Green Monster

I made an awesome green monster yesterday.  It tasted like a milkshake!
 
I used 3/4 cappuccino flavored soy milk
1 1/2 frozen banana’s
1 1/2 tablespoons of peanut butter
1/4 cup plain greek yogurt
2 cups spinach
 
This was the best combination I’ve made yet!!  I think the combo of adding another 1/2 banana (I generally only use 1) and the flavored soy milk really made it the best!  I got this soy milk b/c it was on sale.  I’d never tried it before, but I love cappuccino’s so I thought I’d give it a try.  It is so delicious!!  I would never have tried a green monster if it weren’t for you.  Thanks for the idea!!

Glad to hear others likening their green monsters to milkshakes 🙂 I like using the sweetened vanilla almond milk for extra yumminess – it does add extra sugar, but I can’t stand using banana for sweetness… overpowering banana tastes gross to me and I only use two slices for a hint of sweet fruit flavour. Flavoured milks really make all the difference in my smoothies and definitely gives it the milkshake vibe (though my family disagrees?!)
