I’ve been making green monsters since finding your blog. I swear, my body CRAVES it everyday after my workout. This morning, I didn’t have time for coffee like usual before the gym and when I got home I decided…why not try it in my GM! It…was…AWESOME. The green monster movement has changed my life 🙂
Ingredients:
1 cup unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze
1/2 frozen banana

Been drinking Green Monsters every morning since I discovering them on OSG and can honestly say that it was the most perfect timing,
end of semester=stress overload
stress overload+green monsters=energy to push through to the end
Not only that, but it is perfect time for summer, have more energy to get back on the path and start running again. It’s been way too long.
Thanks for the awesome recipes everyone here is one of my own that I like to call:
Raspberry Ripe
Couple handfuls of spinach
1/2 cup of frozen or fresh raspberries
3/4 cup of your choice of milk (or depending the consistency you like)
1/4 cup of coconut milk (or to your taste)
tsp of carob powder
2 tsp ground flax seed
I threw in some left over carob chips that I had from when I made the raw vegan chocolate chip cookies, adds a nice surprise and some sweetness.

Hey Angela,
After reading your blog & seeing all the green monsters floating around all the blogosphere I had to go out & buy myself a blender & some spinach! I have been making smoothies with chocolate amazing meal for about a week & finally got up the nerve to try spinach this morning. I promise the unappetizing photo does not do it justice.
Chocolate Blackberry Purple Monster
1 handful of raw spinach (probably will do more next time)
1/2 scoop chocolate amazing meal
1 tbsp flaxseed meal
handful of frozen blackberries
~4 frozen strawberries
~1 cup vanilla almond milk
some sprinkles of stevia to taste
It’s pretty sweet so you might want to leave out the stevia if that’s not your thing.

Ever since reading Oh She Glows, I have been curious about the Green Monster, but a little intimidated by the thought of making one. I have made a few attempts in the last 4 months all of which were total fails. Then today a light came on, after reading everyone’s recipes and watching from the sidelines, I jumped in the kitchen and put together my simple and delicious GM!
