Photo-on-2009-12-09-at-13.54I decided to take the plunge and start taking steps towards a raw diet.  I am a yoga teacher and personal trainer and need all the energy I can get to keep my body and mind strong and healthy for my business and clients.
With winter upon us and I wanted to create a green monster to help ward off colds and flu.  Kale is always one of my main ingredients as it is super charged with vitamins, calcium and antioxidants.  I added parsley for digestion and a juice blend that was made with my juicer.
FULL of vitamins and antioxidants…just in time for winter!

Winter Green Monster:
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup kale (chopped)
1/2 cup parsley
1/4 cup fresh organic beet/carrot/asian pear/celery juice
1/2 cup Basmati Brown Rice milk
1/4 teaspoon powder Vitamin Ester-C (optional)
Stevia to taste
Blend and drink!
Super charged with antioxidants and Vit C.

This is my Strawberry Green Monster recipe.  I did a blind taste test with some clients in my studio…blind as in I put it in a mug rather than a glass because I knew the colour would make them think twice.  One client said it tasted of strawberries, chocolate and banana…another could just taste strawberry.  They both were super surprised to find out what was actually in it!

Strawberry Green Monster:
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup kale (chopped)
1 cup fresh organic baby spinach
1/4 cup fresh OJ
1/2 cup Vitasoy Unsweetened soy milk
Stevia to taste
Blend and enjoy!
