I made this 2 weeks ago. I didn’t want to submit right away, I had to make sure I believed what I was going to write. I seriously needed to get some more superfoods in my diet, and visited a raw food cafe not too long ago and get a green smoothie there. I came home and immediately experimented and this is what I got. Delish
This was made with:
1 banana
1 c spinach
1c kale
8 oz vanilla almond milk
5 frz. strawberries
1 t flax oil
1 scoop vegan protein powder
It was so good. Even my son, who has an aversion to anything green even asks me to make them for him!
This is my first one and I love it!
1/2 large cucumber peeled
1 medium peach frozen
1/2 medium banana frozen
2 cups spinach (microwaved in water, drained and chilled)
water to taste
put it all in the food processor 🙂
I have been experimenting with Green Monsters for about a month now and here is one of my favorites so far:
Cucumber Mango Green Monster
1 cup apple juice
1/2 cucumber, chopped
1 kale leaf
1 handful baby spinach
1 cup frozen mango chunks
1 scoop amazing grass powder
5 ice cubes
Blend all and enjoy!
I’m hooked…
My first green monster experience was VERY positive.
I used:
1 cup organic skim milk
1 med banana
1 tbs almond butter
2 tbs ground flaxseed
2 cups fresh spinach
5 ice cubes
I was so skeptical, but I must admit – it was delicious!! I’ve now had one about 3-4x per week since this first one a few weeks ago.
I can’t wait to try other combinations!
Hi Angela!

Before I had my first green monster, I thought they looked gross and I had no intention of ever drinking one! Then, since I had some leftover spinach, I decided to try and ended up loving it!

  * 1 tbsp chia seeds
  * 1 tbsp wheat germ + more to sprinkle
  * 2 cups spinach (raw or steamed)
  * 1 frozen banana
  * 5-6 pieces frozen mango
  * 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or your milk of choice)
  * 1 pinch cayenne chili pepper (optional)
 1. Put all the ingredients in a blender, in the order listed. Blend until smooth.
 2. Sprinkle with wheat germ and enjoy!

Hey Angela!
I wanted to share a cute Green Monster story with you
My boyfriend has decided to try to ramp up his veggie intake. That, couple with his recent diagnosis with anemia, has lead to me turning him into a GM convert!  He really likes them and has started making GMs in his magic bullet. He even texted me a photo of one of his GM creations.
Of course, like a man, he tweaks the recipe to be more DARING. Some extra peanut butter here. A little protein powder there. Well, today he tipped me off the the mother of all GM experiments.Â
Verbatim email:
So I’ve invented a game with the green monsters called “how much spinach?”
It goes like this:
1. Make your normal green monster.
2. Have a sip.
3. If it tastes good, add more spinach.
4. Repeat steps #2 and 3 until it does not taste good.
He’s a regular mad scientist, I tell ya!Â
Thought you’d appreciate. Have a fantastic night!!
